After curing under the stated Henkel laboratory conditions, representative properties include Shore D hardness of 69, elongation at break of 50%, tensile strength of 19 N/mm², and dielectric breakdown strength of 34 kV/mm.
Published polycarbonate lap-shear strength is approximately 5 N/mm² at a 0.5 mm gap, with substrate failure reported during the specified test. The adhesive also demonstrates useful resistance after heat aging and selected water or isopropanol exposure. These values are typical reference data rather than guaranteed purchase specifications.
How to Apply LOCTITE 3301 Light Cure Adhesive
Clean all bonding surfaces and remove grease, dust, moisture, release agents, and processing residue. Protect the adhesive from unnecessary daylight, ultraviolet light, and strong artificial lighting during storage and dispensing. Use compatible light-blocking equipment and black feed lines in automated systems.
Dispense the required amount, assemble the components, and expose the bond area to a validated UV or visible-light source. Full curing of air-exposed surfaces also requires suitable short-wave UV output. Provide cooling for temperature-sensitive thermoplastics, test each plastic grade for stress cracking, and allow bonded parts to cool before applying service loads.
