CEMEDINE UT100B Urethane Elastic Adhesive is supplied ready to use, eliminating weighing, mixing, and ratio-control errors. It cures through reaction with atmospheric moisture at room temperature, helping manufacturers simplify production without heating equipment. Its approximately 200 Pa·s viscosity supports controlled bead placement around components, housings, cables, and irregular joints while reducing unwanted flow after dispensing.
The cured adhesive combines a published breaking strength of approximately 5.4 MPa with elongation near 1,200%. This balance helps the bond absorb shock and accommodate dimensional changes between dissimilar materials. A Shore A hardness of about 70 provides a firmer cured structure than many soft silicone-type materials while preserving useful elasticity for vibration-sensitive electronic assemblies.
This adhesive is designed for fixing and sealing electrical and electronic parts. Typical applications include sensors, connectors, modules, printed circuit assemblies, power supplies, appliances, automotive electronics, small motors, cable entries, housings, and components requiring reinforcement against movement. It can bond metals such as steel, copper, stainless steel, and aluminum.
The product also adheres to polycarbonate, acrylic, ABS, FRP, and various engineering plastics, together with synthetic rubbers such as NBR, EPDM, chloroprene rubber, and polyurethane rubber. Its strong adhesion to polycarbonate makes it particularly useful for transparent covers, electronic housings, and mixed plastic-to-metal assemblies. Surface formulations vary, so adhesion testing on actual production parts remains essential.
Published typical properties include a density of approximately 1.02 g/cm³, tack-free time of about 30 minutes at 23°C, and deep-curing performance of approximately 2.5 mm per 24 hours. Electrical values include volume resistivity near 1.2 × 1012 Ω·cm and surface resistivity around 2.0 × 1011 Ω/sq, supporting use in electrically sensitive assemblies.
UT100B is certified under UL 746C QOQW2, File No. E324741. CEMEDINE also states that the formulation contains no organotin catalyst or highly volatile organic solvent and does not generate the low-molecular-weight cyclic siloxanes associated with contact-failure concerns in electronic devices. Official testing further demonstrates strong long-term heat resistance on bonded polycarbonate.
Clean all bonding surfaces and remove oil, dust, moisture, oxidation, mold-release agents, and processing residue. Apply a controlled bead or dot to one surface, assemble the parts promptly, and fixture them when movement is possible. Ensure atmospheric moisture can reach the adhesive, particularly in deep or enclosed joints, because cure progresses from the exposed area inward.
Validate nozzle size, dispensing pressure, adhesive thickness, fixture time, full-cure period, and service performance under actual manufacturing conditions. The standard package is a 125 ml tube, suitable for maintenance, prototyping, and regular production dispensing. Close the package immediately after use and follow the current Safety Data Sheet for handling and storage.
