This removable coating creates a continuous temporary barrier over the treated surface. After drying, the film can be lifted using ordinary adhesive tape and peeled away without requiring aggressive scraping or complicated cleaning. Dust, particles, and other surface contamination can be removed together with the film, making the product especially valuable for cleanroom processes, optical manufacturing, semiconductor handling, and precision surface maintenance.
The coating is filtered through a 1-micron filter to support high-purity industrial applications. Its light-pink transparent appearance allows operators to confirm where the material has been applied while still permitting visual inspection of the protected surface. Supplier literature states that the coating does not transfer its color to the protected material at temperatures up to 100°C under the specified conditions.
Trylaner Allied Silitect Peelable Protective Coating is commonly used to protect silicon wafers, glass photomasks, CDs, laser discs, optical media, precision glass, and selected printed circuit board surfaces. It can also be used as a particle-removal coating in semiconductor processes because the removable film lifts dust and fine contamination without leaving visible residue on properly validated substrates.
The product is suitable for polishing protection, intermediate manufacturing steps, transportation, temporary masking, storage, oxidation control, and handling of sensitive parts. Its peelable design helps reduce direct contact with the original surface and can support cleaner processing when conventional wiping could create scratches or redistribute particles.
For spin coating, dispense the required quantity near the center of the target surface. To produce a protective film approximately 1 mil, or 25 microns, thick, supplier guidance recommends spinning at a minimum of 300 rpm for approximately one minute. When operating below 300 rpm, a drying time longer than ten minutes may be required.
Drying time varies according to temperature, humidity, film thickness, airflow, and application method. Under normal conditions, the coating typically dries in about ten minutes. A drying temperature of approximately 43°C can reduce the drying period to around three to seven minutes. Allow the material to dry and cure until the solvent odor has disappeared before peeling, handling, packaging, or storing the protected component.

Store the unopened product in its original container in an explosion-protected area between approximately 15°C and 41°C. Protect the material from freezing and keep the package sealed until required. Available formats may include approximately 3.8-liter containers and 420 cc spray packages, subject to regional supply.
