HUITIAN 7243 Threadlocker is designed for production and repair environments where fasteners may retain light traces of oil after cleaning. Its oil-tolerant formulation can provide dependable curing on lightly contaminated bolt surfaces, although heavily soiled parts should still be cleaned before application. The blue color makes the applied material easy to identify, while its thixotropic behavior reduces running and migration from the thread-engagement area.
The medium-strength cured bond helps prevent nuts, bolts and studs from rotating under service vibration, yet the assembly can normally be removed with standard hand tools. By filling the small spaces between male and female threads, the material also helps seal the connection and limit the entry of moisture and corrosive contaminants. Its one-component format requires no mixing, reducing preparation time and ratio errors.
The product is recommended for locking and sealing threaded fasteners in motors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, machinery, vehicles, industrial equipment and general maintenance assemblies. It is especially suitable for M6 to M20 fasteners that may require future disassembly. Typical uses include housing bolts, mounting screws, bearing-cover fasteners, flange bolts, equipment frames and transmission components.
HUITIAN 7243 Threadlocker can also be used on passive or relatively inactive metal surfaces such as stainless steel, aluminum and plated fasteners. When curing is too slow because of low temperature, a large clearance or an inactive surface, HUITIAN 7769 Activator may be applied according to the process instructions. Compatibility and performance should always be validated on the actual substrate, coating and fastener geometry.
The uncured adhesive is a blue thixotropic methacrylate liquid with a typical density of 1.08 g/cm³. Published Brookfield viscosity is approximately 1,600 to 1,900 mPa·s at 20 rpm and 6,000 to 10,000 mPa·s at 2.5 rpm, demonstrating its shear-thinning application behavior. The maximum filling gap is approximately 0.13 mm, and fixture time is no more than 20 minutes under the stated test conditions.
Full curing at room temperature requires approximately 24 hours. Published typical breakaway torque is 20 N·m, with an average disassembly torque of 10 N·m. The specified working-temperature range is approximately -50°C to 180°C. Laboratory data also indicate resistance to engine oil, petrol, brake fluid, ethanol, acetone and water-glycol mixtures. These values are typical technical references rather than guaranteed purchasing specifications.
Clean the internal and external threads with a suitable cleaner such as HUITIAN 7755 and allow them to dry. Apply enough adhesive evenly around the thread-engagement area to fill the clearance, then assemble and tighten the fastener to the required torque in one operation. Avoid disturbing the joint until sufficient handling strength has developed.
Cure speed decreases as thread clearance increases. Use HUITIAN 7769 Activator when faster curing is required, following the current technical instructions. Remove uncured excess before it hardens and consult the Safety Data Sheet for ventilation, personal protection and handling requirements.
HUITIAN 7243 Threadlocker combines medium-strength locking, oil tolerance, fluid resistance, high-temperature capability and convenient maintenance disassembly. Store unopened containers in a dry location, ideally between 8°C and 21°C. The published shelf life is 18 months under recommended conditions.
