LOCTITE® AA 352 is a transparent, amber, accelerator/UV light-curing acrylic adhesive. This product is suitable for applications where it is necessary to prevent uncured anaerobic adhesives from moving at the connection. It has good resistance to chemicals and high humidity. It is suitable for strong bonding of glass, metals and ceramics. It can be fixed in 10 seconds and the working temperature is -40°C to +150°C.
LOCTITE AA 352 UV-Curing Acrylic Adhesive is a transparent, high-viscosity industrial adhesive designed for strong bonding, sealing, and coating of glass, metal, and ceramic components. Its acrylic formulation provides excellent resistance to chemicals, humidity, vibration, and impact after curing. The product can be cured with ultraviolet light, heat, or a compatible activator, giving manufacturers flexible processing options for electrical devices, household appliances, decorative components, and general industrial assemblies.
LOCTITE AA 352 UV-Curing Acrylic Adhesive combines rapid light-curing performance with the strength and toughness required for demanding production environments. When exposed to a suitable ultraviolet or LED light source, the adhesive cures quickly and develops sufficient handling strength within seconds under properly controlled conditions.
The product has an amber, translucent appearance and a high-viscosity consistency ranging from approximately 15,000 to 26,000 mPa·s at 25°C. This controlled viscosity helps the adhesive remain in the required bonding area, reduces excessive flow, and supports accurate dispensing around glass edges, metal inserts, ceramic components, and irregular joint geometries.
LOCTITE AA 352 UV-Curing Acrylic Adhesive is designed for manufacturers that require fast production, precise adhesive placement, and long-lasting joint performance. Its multiple curing options provide additional flexibility when some sections of the bond line are difficult to expose directly to ultraviolet light.
Under specified manufacturer test conditions, fixture time can be approximately 12 seconds with a 365 nm black-light source at 6 mW/cm². Fixture time can be approximately five seconds when exposed to 100 mW/cm² at either 365 nm or 405 nm. Actual curing results depend on light intensity, wavelength, exposure distance, bond-line thickness, substrate transmission, and equipment configuration.
LOCTITE AA 352 UV-Curing Acrylic Adhesive is suitable for assembling electrical devices, appliance components, decorative parts, glass structures, metal fittings, and ceramic components. It can be used where a transparent or translucent adhesive is preferred and where the finished assembly may encounter humidity, chemicals, vibration, or mechanical shock.
Typical applications include bonding glass to metal, attaching decorative metal parts to glass, unitizing electrical assemblies, fixing components in appliance manufacturing, sealing glass edges, and coating selected industrial components. Its cured tensile strength is approximately 24.4 N/mm² under the manufacturer’s stated test method, supporting reliable performance in properly designed joints.
Before application, clean all bonding surfaces and remove grease, oil, dust, moisture, fingerprints, release agents, and other contaminants. Residue-free industrial cleaners should be used to prepare the substrates. Smooth metal surfaces may benefit from controlled abrasion followed by thorough cleaning.
Dispense the adhesive while minimizing exposure to daylight, ultraviolet light, and strong artificial lighting. Because the material is light sensitive, compatible dispensing equipment with opaque or black feed lines should be used. Apply a uniform quantity, assemble the components, and expose the bond area to a validated curing light source.
Cure time must be established using the actual production substrates and equipment. Light transmission through glass, curing wavelength, lamp intensity, distance, adhesive depth, and bond gap can significantly affect the final result. Temperature-sensitive thermoplastics may require cooling during light exposure, and plastic materials should be tested for possible stress cracking.
Store the unopened product in a dry location at approximately 8°C to 21°C. Storage below 8°C or above 28°C may negatively affect product properties. Prevent contamination of unused adhesive and do not return dispensed material to the original container.
