Medium strength, medium viscosity thixotropic thread-locking adhesive for metal threads up to M36 in size.
LOCTITE® 242 is a medium strength, medium viscosity, methacrylate-containing thread-locking adhesive that provides general quality. On steel, brass and stainless steel, this product provides fast initial setting times of 5, 15, and 20 minutes respectively. LOCTITE 242 is thixotropic to prevent migration after application and is expected to be used for fasteners that require normal disassembly using standard hand tools.
