LOCTITE AA 352 Light Cure Adhesive combines fast processing with tough cured performance. Under suitable 365 nm UV exposure, fixture time on glass can be as short as approximately five seconds, helping shorten cycle time and increase production output. The cured acrylic resists vibration and impact, making it useful for electrical devices, appliance parts, decorative assemblies, and other components that may experience handling stress or repeated movement.
The material also provides resistance to chemicals and humidity. Its single-component format eliminates mixing ratios, reduces preparation steps, and supports accurate manual or automated dispensing. A transparent amber appearance allows the adhesive to blend into many visible joints while providing enough contrast for process inspection before curing.
This product is designed for tough bonding, sealing, or coating of metal, glass, and ceramic parts. Typical applications include unitizing electrical devices, attaching appliance components, assembling decorative elements, bonding glass to steel or aluminum, and protecting selected areas with a cured acrylic coating. It can also bond certain plastics to glass, including polycarbonate, PVC, ABS, and G-10 epoxy-glass, after compatibility testing.
At least one substrate should transmit the required curing radiation when UV curing is selected. For opaque assemblies or shadowed areas, users may evaluate heat curing or activator curing. Every production process should be validated using the actual substrates, gap, geometry, lamp system, and service environment.
The uncured adhesive has a typical specific gravity of 1.06, refractive index of 1.48, and viscosity of approximately 20,500 mPa·s at 25°C under the stated test method. After UV curing, typical properties include Shore D hardness of 60, elongation at break of 290%, tensile strength of 24.4 N/mm², and dielectric breakdown strength of 25 kV/mm.
Published block-shear values include approximately 16.5 N/mm² for steel-to-glass and 10.2 N/mm² for aluminum-to-glass. These figures are typical laboratory values rather than guaranteed purchase specifications. Actual results depend on surface condition, cure intensity, exposure time, bond-line thickness, and substrate light transmission.
Clean all bonding surfaces and remove grease, oil, dust, moisture, and loose contamination. Dispense the adhesive through light-blocking equipment and position the components before exposure. Cure with a validated UV source, considering lamp intensity, distance, exposure time, bond depth, and the light transmission of the substrate.
For full curing of surfaces exposed to air, radiation near 250 nm is also required. Heat curing may be performed by maintaining the bond area at 121°C for approximately 30 minutes. For activator curing, apply LOCTITE Activator 7075 to one surface and adhesive to the other, then mate and clamp the parts. Small-gap assemblies may reach handling strength in about four minutes, with full cure developing over 72 hours.
