LOCTITE NCA 2286AE Camera Module Adhesive supports camera manufacturing processes in which the lens, sensor and housing must remain accurately positioned after optical adjustment. Once the required image quality and focal position are achieved, exposed adhesive can be cured with UV light to lock the components in place quickly.
The fast UV fixation stage helps reduce component movement before final curing and supports shorter production cycles. A secondary heat cure develops the complete bond and cures adhesive hidden beneath lens holders, housings or other areas that cannot receive sufficient UV exposure.
Its high viscosity and strong thixotropic behavior help the applied bead maintain a tall, narrow profile. This controlled geometry reduces excessive flow around sensitive optical areas and gives alignment equipment sufficient clearance for final positioning. The black appearance also helps limit unwanted light transmission inside camera and optical sensor modules.
LOCTITE NCA 2286AE Camera Module Adhesive is designed primarily for active-alignment processes used in compact camera module manufacturing. Typical applications include lens-holder attachment, lens-barrel positioning, camera housing bonding, optical sensor reinforcement and precision optoelectronic assembly.
The product can be evaluated for smartphone cameras, automotive camera systems, security cameras, industrial vision equipment, compact optical sensors and other imaging modules. It is suitable for assemblies containing materials commonly used in camera modules, including liquid-crystal polymer, polycarbonate, polyamide, stainless steel and anodized aluminum.
Because substrate grades, surface treatments and module designs vary, manufacturers should validate adhesion, dispensing accuracy, UV exposure and thermal-curing conditions using actual production components.
LOCTITE NCA 2286AE Camera Module Adhesive is supplied as a black acrylate material with high viscosity and strong thixotropy. These properties support automated syringe dispensing and help create consistent bead height around lens holders and sensor housings.
A representative production process uses a short UV exposure for immediate fixation, followed by a low-temperature thermal cure. The UV stage secures the selected alignment, while the heat stage develops final adhesion and cures shadowed material. The exact wavelength, light intensity, exposure duration and oven schedule should be validated according to adhesive volume, bond geometry and production equipment.
The adhesive is commonly supplied in dispensing syringes and requires controlled frozen storage. The sealed syringe should reach the recommended working temperature before opening to prevent moisture condensation. After thawing, protect the material from light and use it within the specified working period.
Clean all bonding surfaces and remove oil, dust, moisture and processing residue. Thaw the sealed syringe according to the recommended procedure, then install it vertically on qualified dispensing equipment.
Apply the validated bead pattern to the lens holder, housing or optical component. Complete the active-alignment process and expose the visible adhesive to the approved UV source. After the component position has been fixed, complete the specified thermal cure to develop final strength throughout the complete bond line.
LOCTITE NCA 2286AE Camera Module Adhesive combines rapid UV fixation, secondary thermal curing, stable high-aspect-ratio dispensing and low light transmission. It is a specialized solution for camera modules and optical assemblies requiring precise alignment, controlled adhesive placement and dependable production reliability.
