How to Use SYLGARD 184 PDMS Silicone Elastomer Kit

Ensure all containers, tools and application surfaces are clean, dry and free from incompatible residues. Weigh ten parts of the silicone base and one part of the curing agent, then mix thoroughly while scraping the sides and bottom of the container. Avoid introducing unnecessary air during mixing.

Vacuum degassing is recommended when bubbles could affect electrical protection, transparency, surface quality or mold accuracy. Pour or dispense the mixed silicone slowly into the prepared assembly or mold and allow trapped air to escape. The product can cure for approximately 48 hours at 25°C or be heat accelerated using representative schedules of 35 minutes at 100°C, 20 minutes at 125°C or 10 minutes at 150°C.
