This light-curing adhesive is supplied as a single-component material, eliminating resin-to-hardener mixing and reducing preparation errors. The transparent acrylic chemistry supports neat, visually attractive assemblies, especially where the adhesive may remain visible after curing. Its very high viscosity also helps prevent uncontrolled flow on vertical surfaces, around small components, and across narrow bond areas.
Under suitable light exposure, the adhesive offers rapid fixture performance. Henkel reports a fixture time of approximately 12 seconds, a tack-free time greater than 30 seconds, and a cure depth exceeding 13 mm. Actual results depend on lamp type, light intensity, wavelength, exposure time, substrate transmission, bond-line thickness, and production conditions. Process trials should therefore be completed before full-scale manufacturing.
The product is well suited to precision bonding where fast handling and accurate adhesive placement are important. Typical opportunities include joining plastic housings, attaching metal inserts, assembling clear or translucent components, securing small medical device parts, bonding electronic assemblies, and fixing components in instruments or sensors. It can also support production lines that require repeatable curing and reduced work-in-progress time.
Because some plastics are vulnerable to stress cracking, compatibility testing is essential before production use. Engineers should evaluate adhesion, appearance, dimensional stability, environmental resistance, and substrate condition. For light curing, at least one substrate or the bond geometry must allow sufficient curing light to reach the adhesive. Shadowed areas may require a validated secondary curing method or a different adhesive technology.
Clean each bonding surface to remove oil, dust, release agents, moisture, and other contamination. Apply a controlled amount of adhesive, assemble the components, and confirm their position before exposure. Cure with compatible equipment using validated intensity, wavelength, distance, and exposure settings. Avoid excessive adhesive because an oversized bond line can affect curing consistency, appearance, and cycle time.
For automated production, precision dispensing equipment can improve shot consistency and reduce waste. Shield operators from direct curing light and follow the current safety data sheet, technical data sheet, and equipment instructions. Storage, handling, shelf life, and final performance should always be confirmed from the documentation supplied for the selected package and manufacturing region.
For purchasing teams and manufacturers, this product combines transparent appearance, high-viscosity control, rapid light curing, and one-part convenience in a single industrial solution. It can shorten assembly cycles, simplify dispensing, reduce mixing waste, and support consistent quality when the process is correctly designed and validated.
