High temperature resistance
Initial curing time 3 – 3.5 minutes
High viscosity

Developed for production environments with short cycle times, this adhesive fixtures in approximately 3 to 3.5 minutes on close-fitting steel assemblies under specified test conditions. The product is supplied as a single adhesive component and requires no resin-to-hardener mixing, helping reduce preparation time, mixing errors, and material waste. Cure is initiated with the specified LOCTITE activator, while heat can also be used as a secondary curing method when the assembly process requires accelerated strength development.
The dark yellow to brown adhesive has a medium-high viscosity that supports controlled dispensing and helps the material remain within the intended bond area. It is particularly effective for bonding permanent magnets, ferrites, metal motor cans, stator-related parts, and other compact rigid components. When correctly processed, the cured adhesive delivers a tough structural bond with strong resistance to impact, heat, and humid service conditions.
Typical applications include surface permanent magnet bonding in electric motors, ferrite attachment inside motor housings, small metal component assembly, and bonding dissimilar rigid substrates. It can support manufacturing for automotive motors, power tools, appliances, pumps, fans, actuators, industrial automation equipment, and other rotating electrical systems.
The adhesive is useful for automated dispensing because its fast fixture speed can shorten holding time and improve line productivity. A recommended bond-line gap of approximately 0.1 mm supports reliable curing, while gaps up to 0.5 mm may be possible with suitable activator application and validated process conditions. Actual performance depends on substrate preparation, gap size, activator coverage, temperature, fixture pressure, and component geometry.
Clean and degrease all bonding surfaces before application. Apply the activator specified in the current regional technical data sheet to one surface and dispense the adhesive onto the mating surface. For larger gaps or faster curing, activator may be required on both surfaces. Assemble the parts promptly, align them accurately, and clamp or fixture the joint until handling strength develops.
Allow the bonded assembly to develop full strength before applying service loads. Depending on the materials, bond gap, curing method, and ambient conditions, full strength may require approximately 24 to 72 hours. Compatibility testing is recommended for plastics because some thermoplastic materials may be susceptible to stress cracking.
