TEROSON MS 930 WH Flexible Sealant is designed for applications requiring long-term elasticity rather than a rigid bond line. Once cured, the white sealant helps maintain joint integrity when connected parts expand, contract, vibrate, or shift during operation. Typical cured properties include approximately 250% elongation at break, tensile strength of about 0.9 MPa, and Shore A hardness of approximately 30.
The product has a typical curing rate of approximately 4 mm per 24 hours and forms a surface skin in about 10 to 40 minutes at 23°C and 50% relative humidity. Cure speed depends on temperature, atmospheric moisture, bead dimensions, and joint depth. Higher temperature and humidity generally accelerate curing, while cold and dry conditions slow the process.
Its thixotropic consistency provides excellent sag resistance, supporting clean application on vertical, angled, and overhead surfaces. The formulation contains no solvents, isocyanates, silicones, or PVC. It also provides good resistance to ultraviolet exposure and weathering, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor joints.
Typical applications include seam and joint sealing in vehicle bodies, railway carriages, containers, ships, boats, metal construction, electrical equipment, plastic assemblies, air-conditioning systems, and ventilation equipment. It may also be used for conventional vehicle-window sealing between rubber profiles and glass and for bonding floor coverings in bus manufacturing.
TEROSON MS 930 WH Flexible Sealant adheres to many properly prepared industrial substrates and is compatible with suitable paint systems. However, material grades, surface treatments, powder coatings, and production conditions vary. Adhesion and paint-compatibility testing should therefore be completed on representative components before full-scale application.
The product does not provide suitable adhesion to untreated polyethylene, polypropylene, or PTFE. Stressed PMMA and polycarbonate components also require careful compatibility testing because stress cracking may occur in certain designs.
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, dust, moisture, rust, release agents, and loose contamination. Depending on the material, abrasion or an appropriate adhesion promoter may be required. External mold-release agents used during plastic manufacturing must be removed thoroughly.
Apply the sealant between 5°C and 40°C using a compatible manual, pneumatic, or electric cartridge applicator. Dispense a continuous bead and tool or assemble the joint before skin formation begins. Low material temperature increases viscosity and reduces extrusion speed, so cold cartridges should be brought to room temperature before use.
Store unopened packaging between 10°C and 25°C. The stated shelf life is approximately 12 months in the original sealed package under recommended conditions.
