Slow-curing, high-strength retaining adhesive containing methacrylate; ideal product for large-diameter components and active metals (e.g.: brass).
LOCTITE® 640 is a green, anaerobic, low-viscosity, methacrylate-containing retaining adhesive and an ideal product for components requiring a longer positioning time. The initial curing time on steel is 2 hours. In addition, it is also used for active metals, such as brass. This is a high-strength product with good temperature resistance. The maximum diameter gap is 0.1mm, and the operating temperature is -55°C to +175°C. The product fluoresces and the presence of the product can be monitored.
