CEMEDINE RE-477 Elastic Epoxy 320ml is a two-component room-temperature curing elastic adhesive designed for engineering plastics, electrical and electronic components, precision equipment and demanding dissimilar-material bonding. The EP001K formulation combines epoxy resin technology with a modified silicone polymer system to provide a flexible, tough and peel-resistant cured bond.

Product Overview

CEMEDINE EP001K RE-477 is the 320ml tube-set version of CEMEDINE’s industrial elastic epoxy adhesive system.

Unlike conventional rigid epoxy adhesives, EP001K is designed to cure into a flexible and tough adhesive layer. This helps reduce stress concentration and improves durability when bonded materials are exposed to vibration, impact, repeated temperature changes or differences in thermal expansion.

CEMEDINE RE-477 Elastic Epoxy 320ml consists of a milky-white epoxy resin base and a light-yellow modified silicone polymer hardener. The two components must be thoroughly mixed at a 1:1 ratio before application.

The low-viscosity formulation also allows good wetting and makes the product suitable for manual application as well as selected mixing and dispensing systems.

Key Features and Advantages

Flexible and Tough Cured Bond

EP001K is specifically designed to provide elasticity after curing.

This helps the adhesive absorb vibration and movement instead of transferring all mechanical stress directly to the bonded substrates.

High Peel Strength

The flexible cured layer provides excellent resistance to peeling forces compared with conventional brittle epoxy systems.

This makes the product useful for assemblies where bending, vibration, impact or thermal movement may occur.

Engineering Plastic Compatibility

CEMEDINE RE-477 Elastic Epoxy 320ml provides good adhesion to many plastics, including engineering plastics such as PBT and PPS.

It is also suitable for selected metal, glass and composite-material bonding applications.

Dissimilar Material Bonding

The adhesive is particularly useful for joining materials with different coefficients of thermal expansion.

Typical examples include plastic-to-metal, glass-to-metal and engineering-plastic assemblies.

Temperature Change Resistance

EP001K shows relatively small changes in physical properties when exposed to temperature variation.

This characteristic makes it useful in electronics, automotive components and precision assemblies exposed to heating and cooling cycles.

Applications

Electrical and Electronic Components

The adhesive can be used for bonding and potting selected electrical and electronic components where flexibility and durable adhesion are required.

Engineering Plastics

CEMEDINE RE-477 Elastic Epoxy 320ml is suitable for bonding PBT, PPS and many other engineering plastics used in electronics and industrial equipment.

Precision and Optical Equipment

The adhesive is suitable for bonding glass and other materials used in precision equipment and optical assemblies.

Metal and Plastic Assemblies

EP001K can be used where metal and plastic components must be joined while reducing stress caused by thermal expansion differences.

Industrial and Construction Components

The system is also suitable for selected industrial parts, construction components and craft applications requiring a flexible, high-peel-strength adhesive.

Suitable Materials

Typical suitable materials include:

Engineering Plastics
PBT
PPS
Metal
Stainless Steel
Aluminum
Glass
Selected General-Purpose Plastics
Composite Materials

Actual compatibility should always be confirmed with the production substrate before use.

Why Choose CEMEDINE RE-477 Elastic Epoxy 320ml

CEMEDINE RE-477 Elastic Epoxy 320ml provides a practical balance of strength, flexibility and broad material compatibility.

Its flexible cured layer helps improve durability in applications exposed to vibration, impact and thermal cycling, while the epoxy-based system provides strong adhesion to engineering plastics, metals and glass.

The compact 320ml tube-set format is especially convenient for prototyping, maintenance, engineering evaluation and small-to-medium industrial production where the larger 2kg package is unnecessary.
